We had a blast this weekend with the Miller family! Travis was still a little timid toward everybody and it didn't help any that he didn't get his naps as long or as often as he usually does but he was still cute or so everybody kept telling me. :) Man I swear Travis and Linkin could be twins. Travis little Travis Linkin your mom and I went to Applebees for lunch the day we left and even our waitor asked if they were twins. And then some old grandma's came up and touched both of them. Man I should have put a please do not touch sign on both of them. I think that that is so rude who knows what diseases they could have spread. Travis finally got his fourth tooth to break through. Actually it broke through the first night we were at your parents house. Linkin has finally passed Travis though in weight. He weighs just a couple ounces more than Travis I know that may not seem like a lot but after you have held both of them for a while it is. :) We can't wait to see you guys next month and hopefully Travis will warm up to you guys faster than he did with your dad. He was still shy with your dad the night before we left. Luv you guys and give all the little one's a hug from us.

11/15/2009

Well what an interesting week. Travis is getting his two top teeth in. I tried hard but you can barely see the one on the video. I feel so bad for the little man. Every time he teeths he gets really bad diaper rash and it got to the point this time where he is bleeding, poor guy. But on a more positive note Travis is learning that the little stacking cups that you gave him go inside each other and is very good putting the small ones in the big ones. Oh and he is learning that those cups stack on top of each other and now he is stacking anything he can get his hands on it is so cute. Oh and if you haven't noticed he can now stand up to our shelves and he tries so hard to get what is on top. Pretty soon I will have to be putting my collection of shot glasses somewhere else. He took his first step two nights ago. He took one step from me to his dad without holding on to anything. I know that that does not seem like a lot but it his for him. He stands up to every piece of furniture that we have now and he walks around it to get what he wants lol it is so cute. Oh and you can thank his dad for the growling. Yes his dad taught him to growl, it is actually really cute. He is getting a lot more vocal and not just at the house. Yesterday morning I had to take Travis with me to my work meeting and every time my boss opened her mouth Travis yelled. He still can't say actual english words except dada. I am trying so hard to teach him mama. O and now he chases us everywhere. Every time we try to play peek a boo with him we go behind the couch and before we can get two boos out he is crowling after us. Well that is all for this week. We are so excited to see you guys. We miss you. Love ya guys. Give everyone a hug from us.

Happy Halloween!!!

Ok so here are our Halloween pictures. Our awesome pumpkins. Our neighbors across the street have 3 kids the oldest is 5 and then the twins are 3 and one of the twins told me that we have a scary pumpkin. She walked over to Travis's and said "This one, this one is the scary one."

(Left) Travis felt left out and decided that he needed some Halloween candy too. We only had our one neighbors come and trick or treat so now we have a whole bowl of candy left over. (Bottom) That's right that is me.

(Left) Travis's scary costume.
(Bottom) Our cute little monkey, man he hated getting into that thing and out of that thing but once he was in it he was fine.

(Left) Me and Travis.
(Bottom) Travis and Travis.

(Left) Us as a family. The funny thing is that when Travis and I got into our costumes Little Travis wasn't scared at all in fact he thought that it was pretty funny.

10/25/2009

Well this weekend was a blast!!! Well ok not really. It is kind of a bummer when you go down to visit your family and 90 percent of the time not even half of them are there. But oh well we still got to see the movie that we wanted to see. It kind of sucked, my parents were suppose to put together this big bar b que while we were down and a total of two people came and they left by like 7 and my siblings both left that night about the same time. Oh and my parents are the kind of people that can not stand to sit at home and relax for more than like ten mins by 8 or 9 they were gone too. So yes that is right Travis me and little Travis were left at their house all alone for about an hour. But oh well. The little time that they had with little Travis I think they enjoyed. My family drive me and Travis up the wall and they wonder why we don't go and visit them very much. When we were leaving their huse this morning to come back home I told them that we would see them around Christmas and my dad looked at me like I ran over his dog and then when I told him that we don't have thanksgiving off he almost cried. Travis keeps telling me that my parents will learn just like your parents learned that when the kids get older and the grandkids come they will not be able to celebrate holidays on the actual days very often. Hopefully it won't take too long for my parents to learn I mean in about 9 months they will only have one minor living in their house. But oh well whatever happens happens right? But other than that Travis is doing great. Travis had a little bit of a hard time warming up to both sides of the family because Travis doesn't get to see many people other than mom and dad. We get to carve pumpkins the night before halloween and yes we got little Travis his own pumpkin I am so excited to see him have fun :). We are so happy though because although it is nice to visit family it will be nice to be at our house for the next couple weeks. Little Travis seemed to enjoy seeing both sets of grandparents though so it was worth it. Well until next week and yes next week I will have Travis in his costume. :)

10/19/09

Hey so we went down to grandpa and grandma miller's house this weekend for a little get together with grandma's family. It was so cute seeing linkin and Travis together although Linkin could not sit still long enough to interact a whole lot with Travis. Travis is very content just to sit in one spot and play with his toys for a while whereas Linkin can't sit still for longer than maybe ten seconds. lol. Travis and Linkin are really close to the same height now I think that Linkin is just a little bit taller but not by much, but Travis still has him on weight. Travis is still at least a pound heavier. We will find out in about 3 weeks just how big he is Travis has his 9 month checkup on the 5th of November. It was so cute seeing Travis interact with the other kids though. Travis doesn't get to see many people other than Travis and I so he had a little bit of a hard time warming up to grandma Karrie and he had an even harder time warming up to grandpa Kerry. Travis still was a little nervous towards him the night before we left. But Travis had no problem interacting with the other kids. It is so cool how Travis is not near as intimidated about kids than he is towards adults.

Next weekend we will be going down (or should I say over) to my parents house and that should be fun and interesting...... My sister next in line to me will see Travis for the first time since he has been born. That is right Travis is almost 9 months old and my sister still has not seen him. But for good reason.

It was so nice because this was the first time that we have been out of time since we have bought the house and it was so nice knowing driving home that we were going home to a brand new house that is 5 times bigger than our old apartment. :)

Well I better go..... until next week.
P.S. that little kid leaning on the couch in the picture is Thomas (Collin and Sam's son)

10/11/2009

Wow how time flies. I am sorry that I suck and did not post a blog last sunday but i figured that the post about my house was good enough lol.

Anyway so Travis can stand himself up on everything now. He gets so excited and tries to walk and falls down but he laughs and it is so cute. Travis is going to be a cute little monkey for Halloween this year (thank you aunt Aubrey and uncle James for the costume). These last couple weeks have been a little tough for our family. Travis's work started getting rumors that the company that he works with may not be there by the end of the year. But no fret the company that was rumored to get all their work (MatBetts) said that he does not have the trucks or the man power right now for all that work but he said that that could change in as little as 6 months so we don't know yet. Travis will always have a job because the boss of MatBetts is good friends with Travis's pumper so we are not so worried about him not having a job as we are about insurance. So considering the circumstances Travis and I are holding off on getting pregnant until after tax season. Because come tax season we are going to be paying off a couple things so it will free us up 400 dollars a month and then we can put that aside for the next baby. Well that is about all I have to say this week. Until next sunday. Have a great week!!!!! We know we will!

Our house

My favorite part of the kitchen. After hand washing dishes for three years man you get so excited for something as simple as a dishwasher. O and it took Travis about three days to finally get this thing installed. :)
Our fridge.

Travis was so excited because (I am not sure if you can tell in this picture) he got a gas stove.

Our dining room.

Travis's room.

The spare bathroom. When Kerry and Karrie came to visit they brought some bathroom towels and the towels matched perfectly with our shower curtain it was so cool.

Our closet.

Our bathroom and yes there are two sinks. I love the two sinks but Travis wants to take one out and make a shower instead.

Our bedroom. When we got all the furniture into our bedroom the first thing Travis said was "Our bed looks so small in here." lol. In our apartment the bed and the chest of drawers barely fit in our room.

Our bedroom.

This is our living room and I didn't realize Travis was in the picture until I downloaded it to the computer

More of our living room.

That is downstairs where we have a full incomplete basement. I am so excited to finish it.

This is our spare bedroom. Well spare for now till our family grows a little more. :)

The other half of our spare bedroom.

9/27/2009

Well Travis has finally shown an interest in trying to stand up. It took him forever but finally one day I was sitting there just watching him play and he came over to the coffee table and tried to pull himself up on it. He can't get all the way up on his feet yet he just makes it to his knees but at least he is trying. It is so cute because whenever he tries to pull himslef up on the coffee table he sucks on the edge of the table. Everything is still all about tasting for him. Travis has also taken to pulling our movies off the bottom shelf and our books off the shelf as well. He is getting to be so fast. We are still trying to teach him what no means but to no avail or so it seems. All he does when you say no is either ignore you or turn and smile at you. It is so cute. Just this morning I went to get him out of his crib and he was up on his knees that is the first time that he has done that, pretty soon one of these times I will go in there and he will be up on his feet and then again we will have to lower his crib. Travis is not veery vocal most the time, he has his moments but for some reason he has taken up to being really quiet unless he is hungry or upset. I kind of miss the days when we couldn't get him to be quiet. :( O yeah and yesterday morning I actually got Travis to laugh, like actually laugh not just hum after me it was so cute.

As far as Travis and I are doing. We are still trying to get used to this new budget that we need to have in order to make it each month. It is a big difference to add 650 dollars to your bills each month and that is just for the mortgage. But we are getting by. I told Travis the other day that now we are in the same position we were in when we got married, back then it was a whole new life and we had to work from near the bottom up. And now that we have bought the house and we have a baby now it is like we have a whole new life again, and again we need to work from near the bottom up. I still work at subway, but thanks to my hire happy boss we are way overstaffed and I am luky to get two shifts a week. But I found this work at home business that I am going to try out and I am working on the training for it now hopefully it goes well. Travis is working just as much if not more than ever. O and we are both on a diet and workout plan and so far Travis has lost 25 pounds I think. But I have only lost one and I blame that on my diet because we are trying not to put me on too strict of a diet because, well the reason for the thing that I have talked to you about earlier. If you know what I am talking about please do not comment me and say that word in it, there are still a couple people we want to keep in the dark about it. But so far we have been trying to no avail hopefully that will happen soon too. Well I better go until next week. Bye.

Travis is growing up so fast

Sorry but there will be no picture with this one. We just got a new computer and I have not had the time to upload my pictures yet.

Anyway Travis is growing up so fast. It seems like every morning that I go in to take him out of his crib he has grown an inch at least and put on 5 pounds. Lol. Ok maybe not that much but man you try lugging him around everywhere. Travis is crawling all over the place and getting into everything within his reach. He is so cute, we are trying to get him to learn what no means and all it means to him right now is to stop crawling sit up smile at you and then go on doing whatever he was doing again. His second tooth is completely broken through now and he is learning to use those teeth very well. He is doing so good with feeding himself. I give him some gerber snacks and he feeds them to himself and it is so cute. If ever I do not get any that he has dropped on the floor fast enough he will crawl back over there and try to eat his leftovers. Travis loves dill pickles. Travis is fascinated with anything on the floor and anything he can get everything that is not his toys. Travis will not stay in his little saucer for more than 10 mins now. I am lucky I can keep him in there long enough for me to get dressed and ready for the day. And if ever I am not in the same room with Travis he will come find me it is so cute. Oh it was so cute today, Travis didn't have an afternoon nap and so he was so tired for bed tonight that when I was giving him his dinner bottle he was falling asleep drinking it and I had to keep him up just to get his pjs on then the moment I laid him in his bed he was out and he had his hands above his head like superman, we have not been able to see that position for a couple months at least it was so cute I had to take a pic. Anyway that is all for now. Next update will be next Sunday.

Updates on Travis

So Travis just learned to crawl forwar about three days ago now all he wants to do is crawl everywhere. It is so much fun and requires a lot more attention as I am sure that you know. :) I finally was able to talk Travis my husband into buzzing Travis's redneck hair. :) Travis's second tooth has finally broken through. And it was so much easier with his second tooth than his first he didn't whine or fuss at all it is nice. Travis is just starting stage three foods, he doesn't mind the fruits and vegetables in stage three but when it comes to dinner he is still having a little trouble. We had to buy Travis 18 month onsies this week and he is wearing 12 month clothes. I can't believe he is growing up so fast. Travis got his first taste of sprite yesterday. We just got a cafe rio in town and we went there for lunch and travis choked a little on some chicken I gave him and I had to give him a little sprite and he loved it. :) But Poor Travis, he won't be having anymore soda if I can help it till a lot later like 2 or 3. I am very careful with what I let Travis eat. I don't want to start him eating too much sugary foods, because if he is anything like me he will be addicted to sugar and I don't want that to happen to him. I get a lot of crap from my friends and my family about being so strict with Travis's foods, it is so annoying sometimes because I feel like Travis is my son not theirs, who are they to tell me what to do and how to do it. Anyway that is the update with Travis. I hope you guys are doing well.

Updates with Travis

Sorry that this has taken me so long, but I am still trying to figure out how to work this thing.

Travis has one tooth and one on the way, they are both on the bottom. Travis can scoot backwards on his tummy and he can sort of crawl backwatds, it is actually kind of cute. He doesn't know hoe to go forward yet so he gets going backward and gets himself backed into a corner and gets mad, it is so cute. :) Travis can get from his tummy to sitting up now, he sits up so good now but he still has his moments. Like the other night when Travis was sitting up in the bathtub and we turned around for one second and he had fallen backward and bumped his head. Also the other day I was playing our wii and I sat Travis down on the floor next to our bed and he tipped over and hit his head on one of the legs on our bed. I felt so bad. But he stopped crying after I held him for a min or two. Travis stills smiles just as mucch as ever, it is so cute. Some nights when we put him to bed and he doesn't want to go to sleep he will cry and yell in his crib but once he sees us come into his room he gives us a really big smile. :) Just last night I stood Travis up next to one of my friends granddaughter and she is 14 months old and travis was just about as tall as she is and he weighs a good wo pounds more than her. I have a big boy. :) We are taking Travis to flaming gorge in a couple weeks. My parents just bought a boat and they invited us to come with them. I am so excited, it will be Travis's first time in any water more than our tub. lol. Travis doesn't have a binky anymore we stopped that at six months and let me tell you that was the longest two nights of my life. Travis is using a sippy cup now too. He still doesn't understand that he needs to tilt his head back or be on his back to get anything out of it.

Well that is all I can think of now I am sure that once I post this I will probably remember a lot more things but oh well this is all for now.
